I love brads, and I'm not talkin' Brad Pitt, though he is pretty yummy, especially in the movie Troy. Who knew a guy could look so good in a leather skirt? And those arms. Oh, those arms...
Wait. Where was I? Oh, yeah, brads, with an "s." Do you want some new decorative brads? Well, you're in luck. I've been cleaning out my craft space and have some delicious brads in need of new homes. Brads from such fine companies as American Crafts, Doodlebug Design, Making Memories and more!
How to Win
To win a Brad Bag (AKA grab bag o' brads), simply leave me a comment between now and Monday, March 16 that has something to do with brads. It can be your favorite way to use 'em, your preferred method of storage, anything. From the comments I receive, I'll randomly select three winners. Easy as pie!
It's a Brad Bonanza
Now, let's talk storage. There are lots of ways to organize brads, from baskets and bins to drawers and jars. But have you heard of Brad Boards? I hope not, because I'd like to think this idea is a Megan Original. Check out my most recent post on the CK blog for more on this fresh, easy and affordable way to store brads. It's far from the PITTs, I promise. ;)

I have used brads on cards, but my favorite way to use them is to attach little bits of dds artwork to scrapbook pages. She likes it because it looks like it has been hung up with pins on a cork board.
Thanks for the chance to add some brads to my dwindling supplies.
I LOVE to attach vellum and paper with brads. I think brads can be so whimsical and add fun to a layout or card.
I still store mine in the watch maker tins from eons ago... its working for me :)
I don't think I have a favorite way to use them. I've used them to hold down a folded corner, attach vellum, or just as a deco element of their own they are very versitile.
Whoa....way to get a girl daydreaming about Brad Pitt! Makes me want to pop TROY into the DVD player for a couple of hours of man meat mania! Way too many yummy men in that movie.
As far as brad storage....I don't have a real good method, as in I usually keep them in the original package. I love using brads on my layouts and cards though. I like to add a little splash of color in unexpected places on my projects.
Thanks for the chance to win!!!!
I store my brads in a carousel type container, it has little dishes that clip into a carousel holder.
Hugs,

Your brad board idea is fabulous!! I can't wait to make my own.
The last time I added brads to a page I used my Bazzil stitchin' template to mark the spots and instead of stitching I put brads in the holes. This especially works well with the circle template.
I have a tackle box that has brads from one manufactor and I have a little glass jar on my desk for the decorative ones from another manufactor.
I love the little pop of color that a brad can add to a project! Thanks for the chance at a giveaway!
I use brads to hold ribbon & vellum, to add a touch of color by a photo, as flower centers, about any way I can think of....I LOVE them!! Your idea of storing them has to be the most unique way that I have ever seen. The ones that I have are stored in the original containers in a drawer. Hopefully you'll pick me so I can give your idea a try.
My favorite way to see bigger or decorated brads are in the centre of a flower. I also put them on the sides (by 3's) of my LO's.
I usually keep them in their packaging or the smaller ones in these little jars usually used for beads.
I do love the idea of the cork boards and Love trips to IKEA! :)
Thanks for the tutorial.
I think I use brads on almost every layout and card. I love to use them as the centers of flowers to hold them on the page or card. I store mine in the little plastic boxes that are like fishing tackle boxes and I sort them by size and shape. Thanks for your giveaway!! That is awesome and I LOVE LOVE LOVE your corkboard idea.
Cyndi J - MN
Brads are so much easier. If I have to choose between brads and eyelets, brads win out!
Linda
I use the Craft-Mates holders. That way I can only open one section at a time and spill.
I LOVE using brads all the time. They always add that little tiny "something" to the page.
I love to use brads to hold together the center for my ribbon flowers I make!
I used to store all my brads and eyelets seperately and organized by color. I found though I wasn't using them alot. So one day I when reorganizing and rearranging my scrap area I dumped all of them into a container, brads and eyelets mixed. At first I thought I was crazy, but for some reason I seem to use them much more now than I ever did before. Funny how that works you know.
Have a great day.
Nicole M.
Believe it or not, I am just getting into using brads. I love the little something "extra" that they add to the page. I'd love to win!
Whoo hoo! Great ideas, ladies. Thanks so much for commenting. I'm inspired already. :)
I tend to use brads mainly on cards.. they add a nice touch. =)

Brads (and buttons and ribbon and . . .) are one of my favorite embellishments. I store most of mine by color in a cropper hopper storage box. I like how compact it is and everything is together. I love your brad boards for the fancy brads!
I enjoy adding brads to almost every scrapbook page or card I'm making. Love the little things. Right now I keep my brads in baby food jars, but I'm really liking the cork board idea. Thanks
I got so totally distrected by your Brad.........uh, brads, that I can't think straight anymore.
I'm better now. (Took a couple of deep cleansing Brad..........uh, breaths and now I'm fine, I think!)
I love to use brads for anything: attach pieces together, sometimes so they can move, sometimes because it just looks good with Brad (there goes my mind again! Focus, focus.....)
Anyhoo, I just love brads. (Yes, I made it!)
those brad cards are fab! I'd love to win them!
my favorite way to use brads is in a cluster on a layout.
I store my brads in an empty plastic embroidery floss container.
i do love brads! and i usually keep my tiny brads in segregated bins, the fancier brads stay on the packaging for protection and identification. I like those brad boards, especially hung up, so pretty. and I really like the idea of using spare rubber from su! stamps as dimensional adhesive. good idea!
Gotta love everything Brad, oh wait, brads!!! LOL!! I store mine in old spice jars and in one of those containers normally used in the garage to store screws, nails etc. The ones with all those great little drawers. Thanks for all your ideas!
I still have a lot of my brads in the old watchmaker tins too. The ones that come on foam backing I just leave. Like the cork squares idea.
I store my brads in small containers similar to TicTac boxes. They fit into a larger plastic box and it so easy to take to crops with me. As for my favorite use, I love the idea someone already posted.....using a Bazzill Stitching Template as a guide. Definately will be trying that! Thanks for the brad board tutorial - I think it would be great to use for the larger brads (think Imaginisce or Around The Block big brads)
I love brads! They make me happy! They are the perfect quick and easy add on and so very useful! I love multi-purpose stuff!
LOVE your idea for storing brads. My friend talked me into sorting all of my brads by color in the little clear containers. This is way cool!
Brads can add that little punch of color in a layout.
Cool idea for the brad board! I store mine in a a couple of clear divided plastic containers - I know MM carries them, but I just bought mine from the Target dollar spot a while back.
Before brads, I used to use eyelets (what a pain!). Love that brads are the perfect accent to spice up a LO or card project.
I've been storing them in original packaging, but I LOVE the cork idea so I can group them in similar color families! Fun.
I love brads. I have them organized by color in a divided box. I love the idea of the cork board! I would love to win some new brads!
I love brads!!! But you're supposed to USE THEM????? :-)
I find myself hoarding them too much, especially those that are not silver or gold.
I do like them in triplets as an accent, or used to attach vellum to cardstock.
Thanks for the fun post and opportunity to win!
I use brads for everything that needs to be connected. Recently, my daughter was making a book of animals for school. She drew a cover and many pages of animal facts. Then we had to put the book together and instead of the traditional stapler, she used brads. Love the boards, btw :o) Left you a comment on the CK Blog.
I like to use brads to secure a small title or a strip journaling block.
I have crazy storage for may brads. Two years ago I raised little green tree frogs in my classroom from eggs/tadpoles that I scooped out of my pool at the end of the summer.
I had to order fruit fly growing kits and they came with glass jars and foam stoppers. I have since released the tree frogs and the glass jars have been refurbished for brad/eyelet storage. I store by color and I have a little tag and ribbon tied around the top in the same color as the brads in the jar are.
I store my brads along with my other small embellies in a spinning spice rack. I love to use them along the edge of ribbon on cards and layouts.
I prefer brads over eyelets. They just seem easier to use to me. I like to use brads when using velum and attaching simple embellishments to a scrapbook page.
I have recently rediscovered my love for brads (which is good since I have a bigger collection than I remembered) and have been using them as flower centers and photo corners. I store a lot of my brads in small fly fishing tackle boxes because they have lots of storage areas and are see-through too.
Ahhh....Brad....he is gorgeous.
I'm really new to scrapping. I haven't found a favorite way yet. I just know that I love them. Thanks for the gift!
Kathy
I'm in the process of moving into/organizing my big new scrap space. I'm planning on putting a brad board or two in there. I'm a total brad addict as I hate to set eyelets because it's too many steps. Brads - pierce paper and you're done!
I'm just starting to really use brads, mostly on cards so far. My small collection could really use the addition of a brad bag!
I LOVE my shaped brads, colored brads, epoxy brads..any kinda brad...mainly cause they are so EASY to use! Who couldn't use a few more?
I use brads for that little extra detail and colour.
I've always stored my brads in a tackle box, sorting them by color. I have noticed that sometimes they get scratched that way, so I really like your brad board idea! Thanks for the How-to. :-)
I use brads to put my journaling notes. Zara
Well firstly that brad bag is pure eye candy - MUCH more so than your friend Mr Pitt.
I really could use a little help organsing my brads. They aren't sorted into colour as I tend to like having the brands and sizes together, although a lot of them are by colour - mini AC ones for example.
My patterned ones are stored in a small drawer & are still on the foam pads they came on. I took the outer packaging away and wrote with a sharpie on the edge what they were (eg - BG Urban Prairie).
Would LOVE the cork mats as it would be great to display my fancy brads - they don't get used that often just now.
Love your ideas, also store mine in craftmates too...
Brads...you can NEVER have too many. I think I have as many ways to store them as I have different styles of brads! They're in drawers, jars, baskets, bowls - you name it! But - what I don't have - is brad boards. What a fabulous idea!! Thanks for the chance to win some more brad goodies!!
I use brads to attach "something" to my cardstock or for just a little bit of color.
(If I don't win the brad bag--YES it will be the Pitts)
I love brads...I used to be an eyelet girl but have found brads are easier to use and the come in so many cute designs! They are way more detailed! I am trying your new brad storage idea from the Ck blog! Great Idea Thanks!
I agree with the other posters that they are better than eyelets. I'm just now starting my stash and looking for some cute jars like yours or maybe the magnetic canisters that were in the magazine recently. I like that they add subtle dimension as well as color!
I love brads too. Doesn't eveyone? I like to add them in groups of three to the edges or corners to add just a little something to my cards. Great ideas. Jill S
What a cleaver way to store them! My daughter likes to use them on her doll clothes (As buttons). She is 4 - so I let it slide.
Brads, brads, brads... how do i love thee? (don't tell my hubby:)I use them on every page I make. I just store them all in little jars. I love seeing the beautiful colors :) that cork idea is a neat idea for those special ones!
Fabric covered brads are my favorite!
Playing with brads is my most fun thing at the moment.
i've been experimenting with heat embossing my brads, and flocking, giving that extra texture...
lots of fun!!
thanks for the chance to win!
FABULOUS! FABULOUS! FABULOUS! BRAD, ER.... IDEA TO STORE BRAD"S". LOL What an amazing idea! I love it and am going to try this tonight! Thanks sooooo much for posting it. I use brads like crazy and I love the chance to win! Thanks, Have a Happy Day!
I store my brads in the tiny cropper hopper holders and then have them in my color drawers. Love the cork idea, though--they would be easier to see!
I store my brads in a divided container. I just organize them by size and shape.
I love brads - I use them all the time to add "that extra touch".
I love your cork coaster idea! I need to try that, because mine are all over the place. I'd love to win - thanks for the opportunity!
I like to stre my brads in those clear divided craft boxes usually for embroidery floss storage. It works for me. Thanks for the chance to win some goodies!
Loved your brads storage solution! Too cool!
I had my brads in jars for a while, but it got too time consuming to go through all of them, so I started storing them in the little plastic packages they come in. I like your idea oh-so-much better though! :)
I love brads too! Is it possible NOT to love them? They are just so fun! :-)
I love to use them as a center of a flower or attach them in the 4 corners of a card, etc.
Right now I am looking for a nice way to organize them... I don't like how they are organized right now in my craftspace... going to check the Brad Boards! :-)
Efrat K.
brads are one of my all time favorite embellishments. I would love to win a bag o brads...hee hee
Sounds like fun. I store my brads in a plastic divided container. Works well for me, but I don't have that many either! Thanks for the chance to win.
r7kwoods@hotmail.com
I'm definitely looking for a way to store brads. So thanks for the subject! I love to alter brads with embossing powder or metallic inks and often use them for the center of flowers. But they are so helpful when making scrapbook page "pockets" for misc.keepsake papers.
Loved your brad board storage idea. Mine are in a divided craft tray now, but I love the idea of displaying them!
I love to put them in the middle of the floers!!! So lovely!!!
Kisses
LOVE your brad board idea. Lately, I'm using all my brads for flower centers. I keep them all in the original packages which isnt very fun! I would love to win! :) Thank you! :)
I love using brads on my layouts. I use them to show off my journaling. I write my journaling on strips and then us the brads to hold them on and it also gives them a little bit more show.
Whoops! I also forgot to say how I store brads. Mine are kept in My Accents Organizer from Close to my Heart. I love it! It has little craft jars(60)(need to buy jars) that are see through. I like to organize them with my picture hangers, my hinges etc. all of the same color together so it coordinates very well.
Yes, I also could use more brads, I love them all and use them lots.
I don't have too many brads suprisingly! But the ones I do have I store in stackable round containers from the dollar store. I used to crop at my LSS all the time so I needed my storage solution to be portable. Now that I scrap at home only I may need to get some of those cute little containers like you have! Thanks for the chance to win!
I store them in empty baby food jars. I don't have a whole lot of money, so I try to use what I have available to me. With having an eight month old, I have lots of empty baby food jars around my house. I agree with you so much that the colors of the brads bring lots of color and brightness to my craft area.
I'd love to win the brads because as a relatively new scrapper, I have one only package of them. And they're all the same color and size. Isn't that pathetic? XX's
I use brads in my scrapbooking as accents. I've used some on cards too. And my favorite way to orgainze them is in a little plastic container I bought at a hardware store. I don't have many or any super artsy ones so I never ran into a problem with them getting scratched. Boy would I loved to have some of your stash!
Personally, I prefer the "Legends of the Fall: Brad but I guess that's not hwat this is about. I found these great containers in JoAnn Fabrics that are round, house stuff in the top and have 5 attached containers with 5 slots each - pleanty of space to keep separated by color or shape. I LOVE these things and I am an anal, organization freak!!!!
I totally love brads. Use them all the time. I store mine in a cropper hopper embellishment case. Works well for me!! Thanks for a great giveaway!!
I always use brads as flower centers. you know hawaiian girls and their flowers..and brads always make the perfect centers!
As for my storage, it is the multi spaced fishing box for me..different colors in different boxes..i know i have issues!
i miss you..you have to let me know when you head out this way..FL is calling your name!!!
love you
ronee
is Brad Pitt one of the brads you are offering to give away? I may be willing to take that one off your hands, or Angelina's, but if not I guess the others are really useful too...tee hee
thanx for the dream...
Well i just started collecting pretty decorative brads and have just hung them up with a tiny clothes pin with a paperclip cut in half and bent in a s shape. I need a better way to hang them so I can see them. I see 'em I use 'em and I need that to be inspired. So your idea of the cork board hung with ribbon is pretty cool. I would love that you enter me into the give-away. Yummy brads..Thankyou. :)
I love brads. So far mine haven't been damaged in the Craft Mates containers I use. I do like the little cork board idea though. Very cute.
thank you so much for posting that great storage solution for brads on the ck blog. I love your ideas and can't wait to try your brad storage ideas.
Now do you have any fresh ideas for eyelets?
I store my brads in a clear bead organizer. Works pretty well, but I love the corkboard idea!
OK- I LOVE your brad boards idea.... I am totally going to do that! Plus it looks really cool. I will be hanging mine on my wall. What a great idea, because your right, mine get all banged up in my jars. Thanks for the cool suggestion!
I can honestly say the "Brad Boards" is a definite first-heard for me, so that's a "Megan Original" in my book :) I absolutely love it, how clever, original and organised are you!! I adore brads and they're such fun to use, not to mention easy, but my only problem has always been that to find one I want I have to sift through all my tackle boxes where my brads are stored, i.e. open the lid and see what's inside to choose from, to find what I'm looking for! Such a hassle, waste of time and terrible organisation!
I would love one of your Brad Bags and get going on your idea making my own little Brad Boards a la Megan to hang up in my little corner! Imagine how easy it will be using brads on my future layouts then :) Yay!
Smiles, Bella
I love this! I'm so picking up some cork board this weekend to do this! Mine are in glass jars, baby food jars..now it can give some color to my room by hanging them!
Thanks for the fabulous idea and chance to win.
The last time I used a brad (a few days ago) I used a real small black one. I stuck it through some cork board paper and with some notebeook stickies so that the brads looked like little tacs.
I use them a lot just to add color and design to a layout or card. And of course, I like to use the big ones for the center of flowers.
I love this amazing idea you have come up with on how to store them. Brilliant!
I love the cork idea. I actually just bought some pieces of cork the other day to do this, but I hadn't thought of doing lots of little ones.
Thanks!
Andi
I currently have my loose brads in one of those divided plastic containers seperated by colors. I also store my shaped brads in a clear plastic container. And then,I have some still in their original package in a cubicle drawer.
I LOVE your corkboard storage idea and would love to try putting my shaped brads on some!!
I store my brads in empty 18 oz. plastic peanut butter jars. They sit on my shelf above my scrapping table and look pretty.....yet they are handy to reach. That way I can keep them separated in themes, colors, etc.
I love using brads on my cards and scrapbook pages. They are great for velum, ribbons, flowers, etc.
I also use the peanut butter jars for buttons and snippets of ribbon.
Since I'm just getting into cardmaking, I don't have enough brads to worry about how to store them yet. I do love using them, though. My favorites are these tiny metallic flower brads I found at Michaels.
What a great idea for storing those special brads!
I have mine in a big MM Jar and in a divided organizer by color.
I may just have to try your new brad organizer!
Thanks,
Kelly
I mostly use brads for flower centers. Adhere's them perfectly and adds some more color.
Big and small
Round and square
Affordable
Diverse
Sweet little embellishments
:)
As far as storing them - check it out here.
And by the way, I just LOVE your idea with cork boards!
Love using brads. I like to make colored brads by heating them and dipping them in embossing powder. A few days ago I made some that looked like suede by putting some Crystal Effects on them and then dipping them into fun flock. Really cool looking.
What a delightful blog you have! I found you via the Crafty Storage blog > CK blog.
Brads! Love 'em! I use them for flower centers and just a lil' extra touch of color and embellishment on a page.
Thanks for the fun giveaway!
I love screw or nail shape brads. I also like brads used as eyes for an owl or other bird. Yor way to store them is very interesting, I think I'll try it :)
I love your brad board idea! I'm off to WalMart to find some cork to make up my own! Thanks for the chance to win and for the great ideas for storage!
i have mine in little watchmaker tins organized by rainbow color. however, this way is so much prettier! :) i love sprinkling them in with buttons & bling for a different texture!
What a fabulous idea to use the cork coasters for the brad storage boards! I use my left over rubber as well for dimension in my projects. It's definitely a great money saver. Thanks for the chance to win and thanks for the great picture of the other kind of Brad ;-)
Great idea! I'm unfortunately still waiting on the perfect storage solution for my brads...they are slowly taking over my space!
I store my brads in Tic tac containers I bought at walmart, but I'm really loving your idea! I might have to make a run to ikea, tomorrow!
Love your brad storage idea! I did something similar a while back with some alphabet brads. I put them on plastic canvas so I didn't have to go searching for the letters I needed, etc. I like your solution better - I just may have to try it! Thanks for sharing. Clara
I love-love-love brads because they're so much easier to use than eyelets (another love). I've found boxes and boxes of old-fashioned brass brads at an office products recycling program, all sizes and lengths. My favorite thing to do with them is to cover the tops with embossing ink and then cover several times with some of my prettiest embossing powders. Instant gratification!
Best Wishes.
Mary O.K.
I love brads too! I attach vellum and paper with them:)
Brads are one of my favorite embellishement and I'm thinking of storing them like one of my friend: she took a 6x6 album, punched a piece of 6 x 6 cardstock with a lot of holes and placed the brads in the hole, the cardstock in the protector. This way you can carry your brads along with you!
I store my brads in a little tin that used to hold paper clips. My favorite way to use brads is to use a brad instead of a dot to dot an "I" in a title.
I store all of my brads and eyelets sorted by color in Craftmates lockable containers. Once I had them stored in the stackable pill containers until I dropped the whole drawer full of them at a crop... now they are all in lockable containers!
I like to store my brads in the little cropper hopper boxes that go in the Embellishment organizer, it works for me and I have so many of them that they are all sorted by colour, love it!
I use brads the most for flower centers. I also like to use them to attach additional elements to paper.
Brads are great. I store mine in a skinny drawer. They are all in their own little individual boxes by cropper hopper and some I picked up at Walmart. I put a hole in the top with my Cropodile and put one brad in the top, so that I know what is in each box. The boxes are only like a 1-3/4" square by 1/2" deep. I love it. I just need to open the drawer and I can see everything I have at a glance. Thanks for the contest. Your idea is great. It inspired me in other ways as well. Now I have other ideas in mind because of it. Thank you.
I like to use brads for flower centers and sometimes I will just put three in a row as an accent.
I have all my brads dumped into a clear shoebox. I know a mess. I have been looking for an idea on how to oragnize and store them. I think I will try the little brad boards.
I love, love, love stacking different types and sizes of pretty little flowers and attaching them with a brand right now! Thanks for the chance to increase my stash!
I actually haven't used brads on any of my cards... I'm just a beginner but would love to try and see what I can come up with.
Sorry, still distracted by Brad Pitt! :)
I love to use brads as flower centres or in lines or swirls on my pages/cards.
Right now my fav way to use brads it to sprinkle them among flourishes for a little dimension on a card or page.
I store mine all together in a container because I like to dig through and touch and feel them all!
Thanks for the shot at blog candy!
Lori
thepaisleyturtle.blogspot.com
I love using them to personalize the page in unexpected ways. One of the first scrapbook pages I did was modifying something at CKU and we were to attach 3 brads at the bottom of the "Why I love you" folder. I decided to emphasize my husbands favorite number and actually put five brads, alternating his favorite colors, to personalize it more.
I love using brads to wow up christmas ornaments, cards, pictures or just about anything with a blank space in need of filling.
Thanks for sharing the storage trip and the candy - Jean
Neat idea. I currently store mine in a divided, clear plastic sewing container. I'm always looking for new storage ideas and may try this! Thanks for the chance to win.
I love brads and store mine in magnetic tins with clear windows. I love being able to see the pretty colors and still have easy access to them :o)
Brads are my favorite embellishment. They always add a clean, simple touch to my pages. I store mine in bead boxes by color.
I store my brads in plastic containers that have multiple compartments, from the dollar spot at Target. I use brads to accent my cards and hold layers together.
How exciting. i am a brad nut! I use them on everything. I am a cub scout den leader and I even use the old office gold ones on a lot of the projects I do with them. Great storage idea!
Thanks for the give away!

Most of my brads are stored in little plastic containers but there are some that I leave in the package it was purchased in and just cut a small opening to pull out the ones I need. Your brad board is an interesting concept.
I store my brads by color in bead storage containers. It works well but I agree the fancy ones can get scratched up.
I wonder if plastic canvas sheets with large holes would work for those much like an earring holder.
I'd love more brads though! Life is pretty good when you're biggest problem is where to put more brads.
I love brads. My primary use is on scrapbooking layouts attaching them on flowers, chipboard, felt, or simply on the paper. I have also used them on gift bags, chipboard, acrylic altered projects...I have decorated curtains, headbands, hats and towels with these babies..yup...I love brads.
Can't wait to try out your idea!! I have wayyyy to many brads!!
Brads...storage...this is a rreally good idea I have seen those cork things at IKEA..Man if I win I will be so very happy..
angie
Your idea is fabulous! I need to try that. I love brads. They come in so many shapes, colors, etc and add lots to your page. My favorite way to use them is as flower centers. I also like to use them to attach journaling or title blocks to my pages.
Brads in anyform craft or Manly are a staple around here. I seem to use them and ribbon the most in my crafting because they are simple and perfect for each project. I would love some Megan handy down brads for sure. Love your blog, love your style. SHAR
I love using brads to attach tiny paper flowers to scrapbook layouts. So cute.
I store my brads two ways.....one by color in small little containers and two in a small tin so I can poke around and find what I want.
First, I want to say I absolutely love your brad storage idea!
The way I store my brads is by color, in little circular metal tins with clear lids so I can easily access them and see what is in there. One day when I get my shelf built they will go in there sideways so I can see into them without effort. :)
Just found your blog from the crafty storage site - what a great idea for brad storage and pretty too! Love the one that you did as a picture frame with pink ribbon! I think I'll have to try this!
You are a complete genius! I have been saving my little bits from my stampin up stamps and I am sooo excited to finally use them!
Can I take the rest of the day off work so I can get started right away? I even have the cork!!!!! ahhhh.. EOD HURRY !
I am a Bradaholic.... I admit it.... When I´m not using them on cards, I spend my time staring at them, drooling a little bit and reorganice them.... (Which reminds me, I haven´t taken my pills today....)
Maybe, if Ikea wasn´t an 8 hours drive away, my reorganicing days would be over! And by hanging them on the wall, I wouldn´t have to get that terrible pain in my neck from looking into their litte storing boxes! And they wouldn´t become all wet and rusty by me drooling over them! Ahhhhh.... Sweet dreams are made of this..... (Not to mention Brad Pitt..... Ohh.. He would be great for chores around the house, so that I could spend my time with my brad collection.... hehehehe)
Can you believe I don't even have any brads!!!??? I've just started building my embellishments stash and haven't used brads before on a layout. They look awesome and I would love to win them! *fingers crossed*
recently, my most fav way to use brads are as centers to flowers. Whether it's Prima type flowers or flowers made with tissue paper, DP, etc, the brads as centers are great. Plus side, is that it's easy to attach the card/scrap page. Brads are the best (and so is Brad Pitt!).
I store my brads in a 2 drawer plastic container. I just starting using them this past year. They sure do add the finishing touch in the cards :)
I store my embellishments by color in craftmates lock-able clear containers. When I need a pink embellishment I pick up the pink box flip it over and look through the bottom until I find what I think will work and then open only that part of the container. Love these because there is never spillage and they are easy to travel with to crops. But you are right I am getting some of my bigger brads and specialty items scratched. I'm wondering right now where I can find room in my studio for your brad storage system!
I love this storage idea. Currently, I store them in jewelry storage containers. I like to use them as centers for flowers or on tags as pull tabs.
